Young and senior scientists, including many former NorMER members, will gather for an intensive, 3-day workshop in the beautiful venue of Tollboden in Drøbak, Oslo. This is where we held our very first NorMER Early Career Researchers meeting, therefore distant memories and high expectations combine in a nice and exciting blend!
The workshop will focus on brainstorming for identifying new, upcoming challenges for marine ecosystems in the Nordic Seas. Practically, we will develop and work on scientific papers toward this goal, and envisage a continuation strategy for our research.
By including many PhD students of a NorMER sister program, MARmaED, we will provide a platform for “mentoring” younger researchers, sharing our experience and crafting a new generation of enthusiastic marine researchers!
