Proposal Opportunity - Government of Canada Awards, Post-Doctoral Research Fellowships - Due November 12, 2011

The Government of Canada is offering one-year Post-Doctoral Research Fellowships (PDRF) to researchers coming from Norway who want to pursue a project at a Canadian University.

 

Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, is pleased to announce the launch of the Post Doctoral Research Fellowships, tenable in the 2012-2013 academic year. As part of the Government of Canada Awards, the Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship Program (CCSP) and the Canada-Mexico Awards, the Government of Canada offers one-year post-doctoral research fellowships tenable at recognized public Canadian universities, affiliated research institutes and colleges with a strong research mandate.**
 
Based on reciprocal agreements between Canada and Foreign governments, Canada will award approximately 40 to 50 fellowships to selected candidates from 12 countries. Fellowships have a value of $36,500 CDN (taxable). These fellowships will provide research opportunities to promising recent doctoral graduates in the natural sciences and engineering, social sciences and humanities.
 
Applicants must be citizens of one of the following countries:
Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Norway, Republic of Korea, Russia or Switzerland.
